History of jeans

Jeans are a type of trousers typically made of denim or dungarees clothes.Often the term jeans refers to the particular style of trouser called 'blue jeans' which where invented by JACOB W.DAVIS and LEVIS STRAUSS in 1871 and patented on May 20,1873.Jeans are originally designed for minors and cowboys.Jeans become popular in 1950's among teenagers.Historic brands of jeans are Levis,LEE,Wrangler.Jeans emerged in the cities of Genoa,Italy and Nimes,France.Genes,the French word for Genoa,may be the origin of word jeans.Jeans are made of material called denim. The denim comes from the name of a sturdy fabric called ''Serge de Nimes'', initially made in Nimes France , hence ''de Nimes''-''DENIM''.Denim are made up of twill fabrics.Indigo dye are colour used in coloring the denim. It is a organic dye with a distinctive blue colour.
